In Nigeria, the country’s women’s under-17 national team defeated Burkina Faso at the WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup and maintained a 100% record in the tournament. Burkina Faso’s defensive tactics
Flamingos head coach Akim Busari said the Nigerian team had expected their opponents’ defensive plan before the match. According to him, Burkina Faso sat deep in defence, used long passes and made it difficult for Nigeria to find space in attack.
