Real Madrid submits UEFA dossier in Barcelona payments case — MyJoyOnline
In Spain, Real Madrid submitted to UEFA documents that the club described as evidence of “extraordinary seriousness” in the case concerning alleged payments by Barcelona to José María Enríquez Negreira, the former vice-president of Spain’s refereeing committee. As MyJoyOnline reports, UEFA confirmed that ethics and disciplinary inspectors will assess these materials as part of the ongoing review.
A dossier of more than 50,000 pages
According to reports, the dossier contains more than 50,000 pages. Real Madrid said it contains evidence that directly concerns the integrity of competitions and trust in the refereeing system. UEFA described the submitted documents as substantial.
The materials are linked to allegations that Barcelona paid Negreira and his company Dasnil 95 €8.4 million between 2001 and 2018. There had also previously been suggestions that the money may have been used to bribe referees. Barcelona has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, saying it paid for scouting and technical reports on referees.

The clubs’ positions and the investigation
In a statement on Thursday, Real Madrid called for the investigation to be completed as soon as possible and for appropriate decisions to be made in view of the seriousness of the facts that the club considers proven.
Barcelona responded that UEFA had not opened any new proceedings against it. According to the club, the procedure began in 2023 with the appointment of two investigators and was not reopened because it had never been closed. The Catalan club also said that the investigators had not sent any new requests or provided it with Real Madrid’s complaint.
In June 2023, UEFA investigators decided not to impose a penalty on Barcelona, after which the club continued to compete in European competitions. At the same time, a court in Barcelona has been hearing the case since 2023, while criminal proceedings in Spain are ongoing.
