In Austria, Israel national team forward Said Abu Farchi was sent off during a UEFA Nations League match against the Austrian team in Linz after celebrating a scored goal with a corner flag. The match at Raiffeisen Arena ended in a 3-1 victory for Austria, The Jerusalem Post reports.

Goal and second yellow card

Abu Farchi equalized in the 55th minute, heading the ball into the net. Before halftime, Romano Schmid put Austria ahead by converting a penalty.

After the goal, the 20-year-old footballer ran to the corner flag, picked it up and made a gesture simulating a shot. The referee showed the Israeli forward a second yellow card: he had received his first caution four minutes earlier. Following the dismissal, Israel's national team was reduced to 10 players.

Goals late in the match

Austria took the lead again in the 90th minute thanks to a goal by Philipp Mwene after a pass from Paul Wanner. In stoppage time, Sasa Kalajdzic scored from close range to set the final score.
