Volpato scores from long range in Sassuolo's winning match

Cristian Volpato scored with a long-range strike in the Italian championship match in which Sassuolo defeated Torino 2:1. The Australian footballer's goal helped the team secure its first win of the current Serie A season, ABC News Australia reports.

Volpato's goal on the counterattack

During the first 30 minutes of the match, neither team opened the scoring. In the 32nd minute, Sassuolo launched a counterattack from its own half, after which the ball reached Volpato.

The footballer struck from outside the penalty area. The low curling shot beat Torino goalkeeper Diego Mascardi and opened the scoring in the match.
