In Ghana, Asante Kotoko football club goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim suffered an injury in a Ghana Premier League match against Aduana. The goalkeeper was substituted before the final whistle at Baba Yara Stadium, with Dari Aziz Haruna taking his place on the pitch.

Recovery from injury

As MyJoyOnline reports, Ibrahim is using crutches and is expected to undergo surgery during his recovery. According to the outlet, the 23-year-old footballer may miss at least two months.

Defeat to Aduana

The match ended in a 2-0 victory for Aduana. The visitors opened the scoring in the fifth minute after an error by Ibrahim. The hosts were unable to equalise, and late in the match, Seidu Saana doubled Aduana's lead: he made an individual run, beat the goalkeeper and finished accurately.

The report notes that Ibrahim was involved in both goals conceded by Asante Kotoko. Before returning to the club, he spent the previous two seasons away from the team, which is also known as the Porcupines.
