Apple raises prices of previous iPhone models by $100

Apple has raised prices by $100 for iPhone models from previous generations that remain on sale. The change affected the iPhone 16, the entire iPhone 17 lineup, and the iPhone Air, The Verge reports.

New prices

As recently as last week, the iPhone 16 was sold for $699, but now costs $799. The price of the iPhone 17E with 256 GB of storage rose from $599 to $699.

The base version of the iPhone 17 with 256 GB of memory now starts at $899 instead of $799. The price of the iPhone Air was also raised by $100, from $999 to $1,099.

After Apple’s presentation

The price revision took place after Apple’s “Surprise and shine” event, where the company unveiled the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. The base version of the iPhone 18 was not shown at the September presentation. The most expensive models presented at the event start at $1,199.
