Meta AI chief Wang deletes edited photo of Altman and Amodei — NDTV World

In India, Meta AI chief Alexander Wang posted an edited photograph from the India AI Impact Summit on social media platform X, in which Meta’s Muse mascot was placed between OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. Wang later deleted the image without explaining why, NDTV World reports.

The original photo was taken during the India AI Impact Summit earlier this year. Several artificial intelligence industry leaders, including Altman and Amodei, posed on stage with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The people in the photo were holding hands, but there was a gap between the heads of OpenAI and Anthropic. In the version posted by Wang, the fluffy Muse mascot was added between Altman and Amodei: it held both of their hands and completed the chain.

Wang wrote that Muse could supposedly do anything and also joked about a Nobel Peace Prize for the mascot. According to the outlet, the post appeared to be a joke about the rivalry between Altman and Amodei while also highlighting the capabilities of Meta’s new assistant.

What is known about Muse

Meta launched Muse as an AI assistant for everyday tasks and projects. The company said the service would initially be available only to users in the United States and would later be added to Meta’s smart glasses lineup.

Muse is built on the open-source OpenClaw agent. The assistant can access apps related to health, shopping, email, calendars, payments, and the smart home. Meta said users would choose which apps to connect and could revoke access at any time.
