Levoit unveils Vital Pet Pro air purifier for pet owners — TechCrunch
Levoit has unveiled the Vital Pet Pro air purifier, designed for homes with pets. The $189.99 device is intended to reduce pet hair, dander and unpleasant odors in the air, TechCrunch reports.
Three-stage filtration system
The purifier is equipped with a washable pre-filter, a main filter and an activated carbon filter. The pre-filter captures large particles, including pet hair, while the main filter is designed for smaller particles and dander. The carbon filter contains 140 grams of activated carbon and is intended to combat odors.
The manufacturer also used a U-shaped air inlet. According to Levoit, this design helps capture airborne hair and particles, improves airflow and is intended to reduce the risk of filter clogging.
Levoit says the Vital Pet Pro can eliminate up to 70% of odors within one hour. The TechCrunch reviewer noted that she did not conduct a separate test to verify this figure, but the air in the room seemed noticeably fresher after the device had been operating.

Automatic cleaning and operating modes
The model has an automatic cleaning system: it removes hair and debris accumulated on the pre-filter into a removable container. The Auto Plus mode, available through the mobile app, tracks changes in air quality and adjusts the device's operation in real time.
Pet Mode uses the maximum fan speed for 15 minutes to collect particles, then switches to a lower speed for 60 minutes to maintain air quality with lower noise and energy consumption. The air quality indicator uses colors: red means poor quality, orange means moderate, green means good, and blue means very good.
During testing lasting more than a week, the reviewer found that the device effectively collected hair and small debris. At the same time, the purifier was larger than she expected, and the fan was noticeably audible at maximum power. At lower settings, it can be left on at night, and Sleep Mode is available for quieter operation. The Vital Pet Pro is sold on Levoit's website, as well as through Amazon, Chewy and other retailers.
