Logitech unveils Blue Yeti 2 USB microphone with automatic adjustment — The Verge
Logitech, under the Logitech G brand, has unveiled the Blue Yeti 2 USB microphone, which is equipped with a voice proximity sensor and can automatically adjust recording settings depending on the user's distance. The model is available in black and white for $159.99, The Verge reports.
Automatic sound adjustment
The built-in sensor tracks the voice in three-dimensional space. According to Logitech, it automatically adjusts gain, equalization and microphone polar patterns to maintain recording quality when a person moves closer to or farther away from the device.
The Blue Yeti 2 also features AI-based noise removal to reduce background sounds, including computer fan noise and mouse clicks. The built-in digital signal processing is intended to improve voice clarity without additional software.

Display and recording settings
The microphone supports recording at up to 24-bit resolution and a 48 kHz sampling rate. A 1.3-inch color LED display is located on the front panel. The Yeti character on the screen visually reflects changes in gain level and polar patterns.
The original Blue Yeti was released in 2009. Logitech acquired the audio company Blue for $117 million in 2018 and merged its products with its Logitech G gaming sub-brand in 2023. The new model costs $10 more than the original Blue Yeti at launch and is cheaper than Shure MV7 USB microphones, whose prices start at $299.
