Artificial intelligence rapidly takes over the internet, surpassing humans on major platforms
Artificial intelligence is swiftly dominating the online space, significantly outpacing human creators on leading platforms. For instance, AI streamer Neuro-sama leads Twitch with 307,000 followers, while the closest human competitor has only 77,000. This highlights the scale of AI’s penetration in digital content.
Beyond streaming, AI generates about 52% of all new online articles, up from just 5% in 2020. In the music industry, algorithms produce 34% of new tracks—approximately 50,000 songs daily. Remarkably, 97% of listeners cannot distinguish these from human-made compositions. On YouTube, every fifth recommended video for new users is also AI-generated content.
This rapid advancement of AI technologies signals major shifts in digital content production. Further integration of AI across media and entertainment sectors is expected in the near future.
