Photo: A driver was killed in a traffic accident in the Obukhiv district
On June 1, a traffic accident occurred on the Kyiv–Znam’yanka highway in the village of Lisnyky, resulting in the death of the driver. Law enforcement officers and medical personnel responded to the scene.
Preliminary investigations by law enforcement officials determined that the 40-year-old driver of an Intercargo Truck veered out of his lane to the right and collided with parked Volvo trucks with semi-trailers and with the rear of a semi-trailer attached to a Scania truck.
As a result of the accident, the truck driver was hospitalized with injuries. Unfortunately, the man died in the hospital.
Investigators from the Obukhiv District Police Department have launched a pre-trial investigation into a violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death (Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
