The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considering the possibility of moving military training exclusively to Ukrainian territory.
This was announced by Yevhen Mezhivikin, deputy head of the General Staff’s Main Directorate for Doctrine and Training.
According to him, this decision stems from the fact that instructors from Western countries do not always possess up-to-date combat experience that corresponds to the realities of the war in Ukraine.
“They are detached from our realities, from the current combat operations,” he noted.
At the same time, the General Staff emphasizes that it continues to work on improving the training system, including in cooperation with international partners.
Also, according to Mezhevikin, the United Kingdom has proposed concentrating training in Ukraine by creating separate training centers for more efficient use of resources.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has integrated the ability to schedule a visit to territorial recruitment centers directly into the “Reserve+” app. Now, conscripts can plan their visit in advance by selecting a convenient date and time with just a few clicks.
The Kyiv Regional Territorial Recruitment Center clarified whether a paper military ID is considered valid. By Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 559 dated May 16, 2024, an electronic military registration document (VRD) was introduced in “Reserve+.”
