Hollywood actress Catherine Vinnik arrived in Ukraine
Hollywood actress of Ukrainian descent Catherine Vinnik arrived in Ukraine on the eve of Independence Day and has already posted several photos from downtown Kyiv.
This was reported on the government platform United24, for which Katherine Vinnik serves as an ambassador. Standing in front of the “Motherland” monument in a white embroidered dress, the star recorded an important message for Ukrainians.
The actress admitted that from the very first days of the full-scale war, she has been inspired by the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people. According to her, the whole world is also standing in solidarity. The actress emphasized that Ukraine will surely prevail in this horrific war unleashed by the aggressor nation, Russia.
“Hello, this is Katrin Vinnik. I’m here in Kyiv, standing in front of the ‘Motherland’ monument, which symbolizes not only independence but also resilience. Four years ago, I came here to Kyiv at the start of this great war, and I am deeply grateful and impressed by the resilience of the Ukrainian people. Rest assured: we are with you, we stand by your side, and without a doubt, we will prevail in this war. “Thank you all, and Glory to Ukraine!” the actress said to Ukrainians.
In addition, on her Instagram, the actress showed the harrowing reality of everyday life in Ukraine. She posted a photo showing air raid alerts coming in one after another.
As a reminder, temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect in the capital from August 22–25 due to security measures involving foreign delegations.
The NATO Military Committee is expected to visit Ukraine in October. This will be the committee’s first visit in the last eight years. This was announced by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatiy following a conversation with Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
