Vladimir Klitschko commented on the death of his former fiancée, American actress Hayden Panettiere, who was the mother of his daughter Kaja. The athlete admitted that Hayden was an important part of his life, and her sudden death came as a shock to him.
"Our family is going through a time of deep shock and grief. The news of Hayden’s tragic death saddens me deeply. She left this world far too soon. Although Hayden was no longer my partner, she was an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya.
She built an incredible career thanks to her immense talent, while also facing the dark sides of a very demanding industry. Nothing will erase either the time we spent together or the place she held in our lives. I will always speak with respect of the mother of our daughter, Kai, and strive to ensure she is remembered for the person she was,” Klitschko said.
"I extend my deepest condolences to Hayden’s parents, her friends, and her fans, who are also mourning today. Young and talented people like Hayden should not have to leave this world so soon.
I ask everyone to respect our family’s feelings and privacy during this incredibly difficult time. For now, that is all I wish to say. Thank you to everyone who is supporting my family and offering their sincere condolences. Rest in peace, Hayden. Rest in peace,” Volodymyr wrote.
On his Facebook page, the athlete noted that Hayden was important to him and that he is shocked by her sudden death.
