Kozlovsky, Positiff, and Melovin have canceled their concerts in Kyiv due to attacks by the Russian Federation
The GogolFest 2026 festival, scheduled to take place in Kyiv starting September 16, will be held in a scaled-down format.
Due to regular Russian attacks on the capital and the Kyiv Defense Council’s decision to impose temporary restrictions on mass gatherings because of the deteriorating security situation, Ukrainian musicians are canceling or rescheduling their cultural events.
As a result, concerts and festivals featuring well-known Ukrainian performers and cultural figures are now under threat or subject to restrictions.
Information about the cancellation of singer Melovin’s concert has also appeared on ticket-selling websites. The event was scheduled to take place on September 10 on the terrace of the Gulliver shopping center.
Junior Eurovision
Due to the deteriorating security situation, the date of the final of the National Selection for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest has also been changed.
Instead of September 13, the final will be held on September 26 at 7:00 p.m. The format of the event will be adapted to account for enhanced security measures for the participants and the production team.
Threat of Cancellation of Tina Karol’s Performance
Information has surfaced online about the possible cancellation of Tina Karol’s big show at the Palace of Sports. The singer urged her fans to wait for official news:
“I’ll talk about the Palace later—let’s wait and see. News is coming in day by day. We’re all anxious. If only you knew what a huge team of people is working on this show. So much effort, so much emotion, so much creativity has gone into it. But we’re all waiting for some positive news any day now,” the singer said in a video message.
Cancellation of Positiff’s Concert
In Kyiv, the Positiff concert, scheduled for September 20 at Feels Garden, has been officially canceled.
“Unfortunately, the Positiff concert on September 20 has been canceled due to technical reasons. We apologize for the changes and any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding,” the organizers stated in a message.
Attendees are advised to contact ticket vendors for refunds.
Serhiy Zhadan
Writer and musician Serhiy Zhadan announced the cancellation of the presentation of his new book, which was to take place on September 20 at the “Ukraine” Palace. He cited the security situation in Kyiv as the reason.
According to Zhadan, gathering several thousand people in a single venue during regular evening air raid alerts currently poses an additional risk. The organizers cannot guarantee the safety of everyone in attendance, so they have decided to cancel the large-scale event.
However, the presentation has not been canceled permanently. It is planned to take place in the spring of 2027, if the situation allows.
Scaling Back the GogolFest Program
The GogolFest 2026 festival, scheduled to begin in Kyiv on September 16, will take place in a scaled-down format. Due to the security situation and the increased frequency of air raid alerts in Kyiv, the festival’s major events and special projects have been postponed until spring 2027.
The festival will take place at two venues: Kino Palats and the courtyard of the International Center for Culture and Arts (ICCA).
Anyone who has already purchased any ticket for GogolFest and does not request a refund will have access to the festival grounds for all five days. Additionally, anyone who keeps their purchased ticket will receive a pass for GogolFest 2027.
Cancellation of Vitalii Kozlovskyi’s Concert
The singer’s team has not provided details on why the show was canceled, but the artist’s wife and manager, Yulia Bakumenko, commented on the situation on social media.
“The concert at the Ukraine Palace has indeed been canceled for now; we apologize for the inconvenience and the change of plans. The next scheduled performance in Kyiv will be at Osocor. However, this is not a rescheduling of the concert at the Ukraine Palace, but a separate event. Come join us!” Yulia Bakumenko announced.
