Madyar appointed two Heroes of Ukraine as his deputies

The SBS command has been reinforced with two combat officers—Lieutenant Colonels Oleg Guit and Dmytro Oleksiuk.

This was reported by the SBS Telegram channel.

Oleg Guit, with the call sign “Hasan,” is the commander of the 427th Separate “Rarog” Unmanned Systems Brigade. Dmytro Oleksyuk, with the call sign “Zemlyak,” has been temporarily assigned to serve as another deputy commander; he heads the “Phoenix” unmanned aerial systems unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

These appointments aim to enhance the group’s command and control capabilities and operational effectiveness. Both officers have significant combat experience since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, and their units are considered among the most effective in engaging enemy equipment and personnel. Unmanned aerial systems forces continue to build up their capabilities to perform aerial reconnaissance and artillery fire correction missions.

The UAS Forces were established in February 2024 as a separate branch of the military to counter Russian aggression. The new deputies will focus on implementing innovative solutions and coordinating units on the front lines. The ministry emphasizes that the involvement of experienced commanders will help destroy Russian resources even more effectively and ensure air superiority through the use of modern unmanned technologies.

As a reminder, Madyar demonstrated the destruction of two thermal power plants in occupied Donetsk Oblast by drones.

The SBS commander also calls for punishment for violations of the law during mobilization.
