A woman who was selling hard drugs was caught in the Khmelnytskyi region

In Shepetivka, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, police officers apprehended a 43-year-old local woman who was selling PVP (“salts”), a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance. Law enforcement officers documented several instances of synthetic drug sales, and the woman was arrested during the most recent incident.

According to the investigation, the 43-year-old Shepetivka resident was selling synthetic drugs to drug-addicted residents of the city.

Law enforcement officers documented a series of incidents involving the sale of the psychotropic substance. During the most recent incident, the woman was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

During an authorized search of the suspect’s residence, police seized a cell phone, SIM cards, and drug paraphernalia.

Investigators from the Shepetivka District Police Department have already notified the woman that she is suspected of violating Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—the illegal acquisition, possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance, committed as a repeat offense.

The penalty under this article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

For the duration of the pretrial investigation, the court has ordered the suspect to be held in custody as a preventive measure.

The investigation is currently ongoing, during which law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances of the suspect’s illegal activities.

The operation was carried out by officers of the Shepetivka District Police Department under the procedural guidance of the district prosecutor’s office.

Earlier in Netishyn, police detained a 22-year-old woman after she received a package in the mail. According to investigators, the package contained a substance resembling cannabis, with a total weight of about half a kilogram. Law enforcement officials believe the woman ordered the drugs online for resale.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a woman embezzled nearly 8,000 euros from her own daughter.
