A large shipment of undeclared electronics was discovered at the “Ugryniv” checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border. During an inspection of a Mercedes vehicle, border guards from the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment, together with customs officials, found dozens of electronic devices and components in the trunk. A 20-year-old resident of the Volyn region was behind the wheel.

Among the items found were wireless and professional headphones, smartwatches, tablets, and cell phones. The car was also carrying video cameras, portable speakers, and a laptop. In addition, customs officials discovered various storage devices, hard drives, and RAM from different manufacturers. In total, 65 items of electronics and components were counted in the trunk.

According to the driver, he was transporting this cargo as a package from Warsaw. After crossing the border, the man was supposed to receive an address to which he would then send the electronics by mail. However, none of the cargo was declared during the customs inspection.

According to a preliminary estimate, the total value of the undeclared electronics is approximately 1.2 million hryvnias. After the discovery, the equipment was seized and transferred to a customs warehouse. Customs officers also drew up a report regarding the detected violation. The relevant authorities will now investigate the circumstances surrounding the transport of this large shipment of electronics and its intended destination.

Thus, during a single inspection at “Ugrynove,” border guards and customs officers discovered 65 units of undeclared electronics with an estimated value of 1.2 million hryvnias. The cargo was seized pending the completion of the necessary procedures. This was reported by the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment.
