In Volyn, a man cut off a TCC vehicle; four soldiers were injured
In the village of Vorokomle, Kamin-Kashirsky District, Volyn Oblast, a local resident slashed the tires of an emergency response team’s vehicle. As a result, the vehicle collided with a power pole, injuring four service members.
Police reported that the incident occurred on September 10.
“A local resident, born in 1990, cut off the path of an alert group’s official vehicle, causing the car to collide with a power pole,” the statement said.
As a result of the accident, four servicemen from the TCC and SP were injured.
According to the Volyn Regional TCC and SP, two servicemen sustained serious injuries in the accident. The driver of the service vehicle is in critical condition, and the passenger is in moderate condition. Both were transported to a medical facility. Two other passengers who were in the back seat sustained abrasions and bruises.
The police have opened a criminal investigation.
The man whom the police believe to be involved in the accident was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of notifying him of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is currently being decided. The penalty under this article ranges from 5 to 12 years of imprisonment.
