Nova Poshta has reduced the free storage period for packages to five days
Starting October 1, “Nova Poshta” has changed the storage rules for most shipments at its branches. Parcels can now be stored free of charge for five days instead of seven.
The new rules apply to parcels, documents, cargo, as well as tires and rims. Starting on the sixth day, storage will be charged at the company’s standard rates.
At the same time, the cost of delivery itself has not changed. The conditions for pallets also remain unchanged—free storage is three days.
Nova Poshta explained that the reduction in storage time is primarily related to security. The less time a shipment spends at a branch, the lower the risk of it being damaged or lost due to potential Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure.
According to the company, about 97% of customers pick up their packages within the first five days.

“Nova Poshta” will suspend operations at its facilities in the event of an air raid alert. Employees must leave their workplaces and proceed to the nearest shelters, regardless of the type of threat. To minimize delivery delays, the company is adjusting its logistics and distributing the workload among different facilities.
On Thursday, October 1, the postal operator “Nova Poshta” experienced a major technical failure. The company’s customers are complaining en masse about malfunctions in its main digital services and platforms.
