Ombudsman Demands Explanations Over the Mobilization of Patients by the Chernivtsi Territorial Medical Center – Video
Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, stated that a video had been discovered on social media showing people with visible signs of health issues being led out of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Officeto be sent to military conscription offices or military units.
Iryna Isopenko, the Ombudsman’s representative in the Chernivtsi region, sent an official request to the regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office demanding information about the individuals in the video, the results of their military medical examinations, documents regarding their fitness for service, and their final destination.
Lubinec emphasized that the state must not disregard people’s rights and the legality of the Military Medical Commission’s decisions for the sake of statistics, and that the mobilization procedures themselves require systemic reform.
