North Macedonia has appointed a special representative for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga thanked the country for this decision.
“And, of course, we discussed the future and the reconstruction of Ukraine. On this path, we are counting on the assistance of our friends and partners, and we are grateful to North Macedonia for its decision to appoint a special representative for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction,” he said at a press conference with North Macedonian Foreign Minister Timcho Mutsunski in Kyiv.
Sybiga briefed his Macedonian counterpart on Russia’s systematic attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
He emphasized that for the Kremlin, the energy sector is one of the tools of war and terror, and ensuring the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system ahead of winter remains among the key priorities.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister also discussed the situation in the Black Sea, noting Russia’s obstruction of navigation and freedom of the seas.
