Border guards reported long lines at the border with Poland
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has reported traffic congestion at the Ukrainian-Polish border. Currently, queues are forming at certain border crossing points for those leaving Ukraine. Border guards recommend that travelers take this situation into account when planning their trips and check the traffic at border crossing points in advance.
For exiting Ukraine:
- Ugryniv – 25 vehicles.
- Rava-Ruska – 65 cars.
- Hrushev – 25 cars.
- Krakivets – 100 cars.
- Shehyni – 60 vehicles.
- Nyzhankovychi – 25 vehicles.
- Ustyluh – 95 vehicles.
In addition, a backlog of buses waiting to leave Ukraine has been reported in Krakivets and Shehyni. There are 13 buses waiting at each location. In Ustyluh, there is one bus.
The Smilnytsia and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints currently remain open for traffic. Meanwhile, in Ustyluh, about 20 vehicles are waiting to enter Ukraine.
“As a reminder, with the start of the summer tourist season, passenger traffic through the Western border crossing points traditionally increases. This year, passenger traffic is expected to increase by up to 20%,” border guards added.
The government has eased the rules for traveling abroad during martial law.
The 2027 state budget plans to allocate funding for a resilience service, which is set to become a permanent state program following a successful pilot launch in communities.
