The Prosecutor's Office has identified the cause of the explosion at the warehouses in Kurylivka
An explosion in the village of Kurylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region in July 2026 occurred as a result of the detonation of ammunition at a warehouse located among residential buildings. The incident resulted in damage to local residents’ property, and 11 people were officially recognized as victims.
A criminal investigation has been launched into this incident under Part 1 of Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of the rules for handling weapons and substances that pose an increased danger to the surrounding area. A pretrial investigation is currently underway, during which investigators are determining which unit or specific individuals moved the ammunition to the settlement and for what purpose.
Deputy Prosecutor General Andriy Leshchenko spoke about this in an interview with “Censor.NET.”
In the village of Mila in the Kyiv region, cleanup efforts continue following the Russian strike. According to the latest data, 38 people were killed and another 20 were injured. Four people are still missing.
On August 31, Denis Stilerman, co-owner and chief designer of Fire Point, publicly clashed with Taras Chmut, head of the “Come Back Alive” Foundation, following the Russian strike on the company’s facility in the village of Mila in the Kyiv region. Shtilerman called Chmut a “scoundrel and a liar” in the wake of the tragedy that occurred after the strike and the subsequent detonation of munitions.
