The average salary for Ukrainians fell significantly in July
In July 2026, the average salary for full-time employees in Ukraine fell to 32,243 UAH. Compared to June, the figure decreased by 1.6%, according to new data from the State Statistics Service.
In June, the average salary for full-time employees in Ukraine was 32,783 UAH. In July, the figure decreased by 540 UAH, or 1.6%.
The highest average salary in July was recorded in Kyiv—49,463 UAH. Next in terms of average wages are:
- Luhansk Oblast – 35,367 UAH;
- Kyiv Oblast – 33,268 UAH.
The lowest figures were recorded in Chernivtsi Oblast—23,354 UAH—and Kirovohrad Oblast—23,532 UAH.
The highest average salary was recorded in the information and telecommunications sector—78,716 UAH. The lowest figure was in education, at 20,237 UAH. The difference between the highest and lowest sectoral figures is 58,479 UAH.
Separately, the State Statistics Service reported on wage arrears. As of August 1, 2026, the total amount of wage arrears in Ukraine was 3.8 billion UAH.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense explained what would happen to salaries after the special military operation.
A senior lieutenant left his military unit without permission on February 9, but voluntarily returned on May 9 and declared his readiness to continue his service.
