Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have sent requests to banks to obtain information containing banking secrecy.
According to UA.NEWS sources, the case likely involves Oleksii Drozd and his family.
Who is Oleksii Drozd?
Oleksii Drozd is a former police officer and lawyer. He currently serves as the head of one of the departments of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. He is married and has two children.
Open data also identifies him as a researcher and lecturer. He works at four higher education institutions.
At the same time, Drozd’s name has appeared in journalistic investigations. In particular, he has been linked to former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleh Tatarov. Separate investigations by hromadske reported on the Drozd family, including a mansion near Kyiv, eight apartments, and questions regarding the sources of funds for part of this property.
What is included in Oleksii Drozd’s declaration?
In the 2025 declaration, Oleksii Drozd is listed as working at the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. He is registered in Kyiv and actually lives in the village of Kruglyk in Kyiv region with his family.
Property of the official
Oleksii Drozd declared several real estate assets in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
He owns a 2,400 m² land plot in the village of Khotiv, purchased in February 2017 for 49,600 UAH.
He also owns two apartments in Kyiv. The first, with an area of 45.9 m², was purchased in September 2019 for 8 UAH. The second apartment, with an area of 84.8 m², became his property in July 2025, with a declared value of 4.95 million UAH.
Since August 2025, he has also owned a 291 m² garden house in the village of Kruglyk in Kyiv region. Its value is not specified.
Property of the official’s wife
A significant amount of property is registered to Alona Drozd. According to the declaration, she owns:
- a 60.1 m² non-residential premises in Kyiv, purchased on May 13, 2021, for 693,400 UAH;
- a 1,052 m² land plot in the village of Vita-Poshtova, purchased on June 3, 2021, for 100,100 UAH;
- another 1,052 m² land plot in Vita-Poshtova, purchased on November 11, 2021, for 75,000 UAH;
- a 342 m² land plot in the village of Novosilky, purchased on January 28, 2022, for 4,100 UAH.
She also leases a 1,800 m² land plot in the settlement of Chabany from Viktor Lykhoshva. The lease cost is not specified.
Transport of the Drozd family
According to the declaration, Oleksii Drozd does not own a vehicle. However, since mid-2017, he has used an Audi A6 (2016) owned by his mother-in-law, Mariia Krasilovska. The purchase price is unknown.
Alona Drozd owns an Audi e-tron (2019), which she purchased on February 28, 2023, for 1.4 million UAH.
Income of the Drozd family in 2025
According to the declaration, Oleksii Drozd’s main income in 2025 was his salary at the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, totaling 1,805,359 UAH.
In addition to his main job, he also received teaching income from four universities:

- 41,000 UAH – Zaporizhzhia National University
- 33,000 UAH – Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs
- 8,000 UAH – Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University
The declaration also includes a notable non-monetary gift worth 4.95 million UAH from his father, Yurii Drozd. It is also stated that on July 25, 2025, the official received real estate as a gift.
This property is likely the same non-monetary gift worth several million hryvnias.
Alona Drozd earned:

What does Oleksii Drozd’s wife do?
From 2016 to 2018, Alona Drozd worked as an investigator in the National Police. She is currently a lawyer. She received her license to practice law on October 8, 2018, from the Kyiv Regional Bar Council.
She runs her own law office. According to YouControl, it was registered on December 18, 2020, with legal services as its main activity. However, its charter capital is only 2,000 UAH, and it has not submitted financial reports to tax authorities.
There is also another company previously linked to her: “Legal Guarantees” LLC, which operated in the legal services sector but was later liquidated on November 12, 2024.
Father of the wife
Viktor Krasilovskyi, Alona Drozd’s father, had two enforcement proceedings related to traffic fines, which have now been closed.
Court records show he was involved in at least five cases, including one against the Pension Fund. In that case, he requested the restoration of a monthly pension supplement of 2,000 UAH and won in September 2023.
What media reported about the Drozd family
In 2020, anti-corruption organizations mentioned Oleksii Drozd in relation to a competition for the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). The Center for Combating Corruption stated that he should not have been part of the selection commission due to his previous police service.
Separate investigations by hromadske highlighted the Drozd family property near Kyiv, including a 291 m² house near a body of water. The house reportedly includes a smaller building, a gazebo, and access to the water.
Construction allegedly began in 2017, and although the building was listed as completed in 2018, it was only officially commissioned in summer 2025. In the 2024 declaration, it was still listed as unfinished.
Journalists also questioned the declared construction cost, which was under 900,000 UAH. Experts suggested the real value could start from 400,000 USD.
Connection between Oleksii Drozd and Oleh Tatarov
hromadske also a link between the Drozd family and Oleh Tatarov. According to the publication, Drozd and Tatarov co-authored a scientific paper in 2008 and later both worked in academia.
Alona Drozd defended a dissertation in 2019 where Tatarov acted as an evaluator. In the same year, Oleksii Drozd’s mother also defended a doctoral dissertation with Tatarov as an opponent.
Oleksii Drozd stated that his only joint academic work with Tatarov occurred in 2007–2008 and called the overlap in dissertation involvement with his wife and mother a coincidence.
