Sibiga called Yulia Mendel's interview an attempt to disparage her own country
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga harshly criticized a recent statement made by former presidential press secretary Yulia Mendel during a conversation with an American propagandist.
The head of the foreign ministry emphasized that her remarks directly harm national interests and play into the hands of hostile propaganda.
Sybiga noted that he could not even bring himself to listen to the end of these “pathetic, vile revelations,” describing what he heard as repugnant manipulation.
According to the minister, such an act is a humiliation of one’s own state for the sake of dubious popularity in the aggressor’s information space.
“The filth she spouted is not a blow against the President, but against her own country. All these lies and manipulations are directed against Ukraine’s interests and in support of Russian demands and ultimatums,” Andriy Sibiga stated in his official post.
The diplomat emphasized that Ukraine’s leader’s role in the events of 2022 is an indisputable fact that allowed the country to withstand a full-scale invasion.
He is convinced that it is precisely thanks to the resilience of the state leadership that Ukraine continues to successfully resist Russian aggression.
According to the Foreign Minister, no attempts at discrediting or false accusations can change the historical truth about the Ukrainian people’s struggle.
On the contrary, such attacks only confirm the importance of unity and the baselessness of accusations from those who “crawl before propaganda.”
