Forecasters are predicting cool and rainy weather for Easter
This year’s Easter holiday, on April 12, will bring Ukrainians unstable and rather cool weather.
Despite a slight rise in temperatures, a significant spring warm-up is not expected in most regions of the country.
Mostly cloudy weather with some sunny breaks is expected throughout the day. Sunny periods will alternate with light, brief showers covering nearly all regions of Ukraine.
In the west of the country, air temperatures will range from +7° to +9° Celsius. Residents of the region should prepare for variable cloud cover and light precipitation in some areas, which may interfere with long walks outdoors.
A similar weather pattern will be observed in the northern regions of Ukraine. During the day, temperatures will reach a high of +7° to +9°, and occasional showers will accompany the holiday.
The most favorable temperatures on Easter will be recorded in the eastern part of the country.
In central Ukraine on April 12, temperatures will range from +7° to +11°. Light rain is also expected in some areas, but cloud cover will not be continuous, allowing for some sunshine throughout the day.
Southern regions will welcome the holiday with moderate temperatures—ranging from +11° to +13° during the day. As in other parts of the country, the south will be cloudy with occasional clear spells and local precipitation of varying intensity.
Frost, rain, and wet snow are expected across Ukraine.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
