Shooting in Odessa: Police Release Video of Attack on Patrol Officers
In Odesa, a 45-year-old local resident opened fire on patrol officers during a routine document check and fled the scene. The attacker was later killed while police attempted to apprehend him.
The National Police released a video of the armed attack on the patrol officers.
The incident occurred on March 25. According to law enforcement officials, the man was wanted for violating military registration rules. A special police operation was launched to apprehend him. After several hours of searching, the attacker opened fire on police during negotiations. In response, KORD officers used firearms and neutralized the shooter.
As a result of the attack, two patrol officers sustained serious gunshot wounds. Medical personnel are providing necessary care and doing everything possible to save the victims’ lives.



Two criminal proceedings have been initiated: the police opened a case under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) under Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police have released body camera footage from the shooting and clips of the attempted apprehension.
