The perpetrator was promptly detained at the scene. During a search, law enforcement officers found two more F-1 combat grenades on him, which he had been carrying. According to preliminary investigation data, the man took the ammunition from a pre-prepared cache on the territory of the Bila Tserkva district.

The prosecutor’s office is considering the possibility of involvement by Russian special services, which may have used psychological pressure and manipulation to recruit the detainee. The man was persuaded to participate in a so-called “security check” of the facility. Currently, the SBU and the police are determining the origin of the weapons and identifying all individuals involved in the preparation of the crime as part of proceedings regarding obstruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and illegal handling of ammunition.

In Kharkiv, an explosion occurred near a supermarket, after which law enforcement officers detained a 32-year-old man suspected of detonating a grenade.

Serhiy Tkachenko, an inspector with the Tactical and Operational Response Company, detained a man who threatened to use a grenade in Dnipro.
