Ukraine has launched a website to expose recruitment into the Russian military
Ukraine has launched the online platform StopRussianRecruiter.org, which aims to expose the Russian system of recruiting foreigners into the Russian Armed Forces. The website allows users to collect and disseminate information about cases of foreigners being recruited into Russian military units and is designed to counter such recruitment campaigns.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
What is known about the platform
The website was created by the Coordination Headquarters and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The platform will publish information about the methods and scale of recruitment, the geographic scope of Russian recruiters’ activities, as well as individuals working on behalf of the Russian Federation in various countries.
The Coordination Headquarters stated that Russia is actively recruiting citizens of other countries into the war, particularly migrant workers, the unemployed, and members of socially vulnerable groups.
To this end, according to the Ukrainian side, they use deception, psychological pressure, and financial manipulation.
How many foreigners are fighting for the Russian Federation
According to the "I Want to Live" project, more than 28,000 foreigners from 48 countries have already signed contracts with the Russian military.
At least 5,149 of them have been killed.
It is also reported that hundreds of foreigners who fought on Russia’s side are currently held captive by Ukraine.
Russia has already recruited 2,965 Africans from 36 countries for the war against Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As a reminder, the SBU is issuing warnings about enemy recruitment following the terrorist attack in Bucha.
The Kremlin has also implemented a hybrid scheme for covertly recruiting foreigners for the war.
