The government has allocated 8.3 billion hryvnia to the SBU, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and other law enforcement agencies

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 8.3 billion hryvnias from the reserve set aside in the 2026 state budget for the security and defense sector.

The funds will go to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Security Service, and the State Special Communications Service.

According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, the funding will be used to support military personnel, strengthen logistical capabilities, meet defense needs, and develop intelligence capabilities.

A €5.9 billion tranche of the EU loan for Ukraine will be allocated to drones.
