"Zelenskyy and Yermak are paranoid and narcissistic," says Mendel

Yulia Mendel, the former acting secretary to the President of Ukraine, has made harsh statements about Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President.

She spoke about this in a new interview with American pundit Tucker Carlson.

During the conversation, she called both Ukrainian officials “paranoid narcissists.”

“Yermak knows he’s a narcissist and knows that Zelenskyy is a narcissist too. They are two vicious, paranoid narcissists. And it was something of a symbiosis. Zelenskyy had the vision, and Yermak had the tools to implement it. It wasn’t about politics or strategies, but about what they wanted for themselves,” Mendel stated.

The former secretary also mentioned that Andriy Yermak previously worked as a lawyer at a TV channel where Volodymyr Zelenskyy was the executive producer. According to her, it was then that professional and personal ties formed between them.

At the same time, Mendel claims that Yermak was allegedly “involved in shady and mafia-related affairs at the Kyiv level,” without providing specific evidence.

The former presidential spokesperson described the relationship between Zelenskyy and Yermak as complex and ambiguous.

“Their relationship was very strange, complicated, and very complex,” she added.

Mendel’s interview sparked widespread reaction due to the harsh rhetoric and political assessments she voiced regarding Ukraine’s leadership.

Former press secretary to the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel made several high-profile statements regarding the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul in the spring of 2022.

Russia recently stated that new negotiations with the U.S. and Ukraine would be futile unless Kyiv agreed to withdraw Ukrainian troops from Donbas. Ukraine refuses to comply with these demands, deeming them unacceptable, and the negotiation process remains effectively stalled. This is known from a statement by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.

On the eve of May 9, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he does not recommend visiting Moscow during the parade events. The president also reported strikes on a number of Russian military and infrastructure targets. In his statement, he sharply criticized the rhetoric of the Russian leadership and warned of possible risks.

The Russian presidential administration has prepared a plan for an information campaign in the event of a peace agreement with Ukraine.
