Video: Zelenskyy Arrives in the U.S. to Meet with Trump
On Tuesday, July 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the United States, where he will hold a series of meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump, his team, and other American officials.
According to Zelenskyy, the main priority of the talks will be strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, particularly acquiring missile defense systems, as well as developing strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S.
“On the agenda are meetings with President Trump, his team, and those who can support our defense. The number one priority is missile defense and strategic cooperation with the U.S. Peace must be brought closer,” the president emphasized.
Zelenskyy also announced that he will participate, on behalf of Ukraine, in a memorial ceremony for U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham in Washington.
The president noted that, together with other participants in the event, he will honor Graham’s contribution to strengthening security and freedom in the Euro-Atlantic region and other parts of the world.
At the end of his address, Zelenskyy thanked everyone who supports Ukraine and helps protect the lives of Ukrainians.
