Zelenskyy said that Putin is preparing a covert mobilization
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Kremlin is preparing a large-scale covert mobilization, which, according to him, is intended not only to replenish the Russian army but also to intensify psychological pressure on European countries.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia is attempting to carry out a mass mobilization without officially announcing it, using shadow contracts and restrictions on citizens’ travel abroad.
The president noted that the Kremlin could mobilize up to half a million people this fall and use this as a tool to exert pressure not only on Ukraine but also on European countries.
Separately, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has no intention of relinquishing its territories or leaving its citizens behind in the occupied territories. He stated that any attempts by Russia to bargain over Ukrainian territories are unacceptable.
The head of state also reported that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia may deploy between 30,000 and 50,000 North Korean troops on its territory. He noted that North Korean troops are gaining experience in modern warfare, which could pose additional security threats to the Asia-Pacific region in the future.
