Berger Cargo reported a loss of ₴65 million due to Ukraine's attacks on its warehouses

The Ukrainian logistics company Berger Cargo lost more than 40,000 square meters of warehouse space as a result of Russian attacks. Total losses from the destruction of facilities and the loss of equipment are estimated at approximately 65 million hryvnia.

Before the full-scale attacks began, the company had 83,000 square meters of warehouse space in the Kyiv region, Odesa, and Lviv.

Berger Cargo’s facilities in the Kyiv region sustained the most damage.

Of the company’s three warehouses, one was completely destroyed, and two sustained partial damage.

At just one of the facilities, a fire completely destroyed 33,500 square meters of warehouse space.

In total, the company lost more than 40,000 square meters of warehouse capacity due to Russian shelling.

Berger Cargo estimates its losses at approximately 65 million hryvnias. This amount includes the cost of destroyed specialized equipment, IT infrastructure, forklifts, and other fixed assets.

Despite significant losses, Berger Cargo continues to operate and is expanding its geographic reach.

In September, the company opened a new branch in Chernivtsi, where it currently has approximately 12,000 square meters of space across several locations.

In addition, the logistics operator is developing a branch in Lviv and is considering the possibility of launching new facilities in other regions of Ukraine.

The company explains that expanding its network helps mitigate risks and ensure operational stability amid the war.

Berger Cargo is a full-service Ukrainian logistics company specializing in warehousing, professional cargo handling, and transportation services.

Despite the destruction of part of its infrastructure due to Russian attacks, the company continues to operate and is working to restore its warehouse capacity and expand its network in Ukraine.

This was stated by Valery Baranovsky, director and co-founder of Berger Cargo, in an interview with NV.

Earlier, Data Insight lowered its growth forecast for the online sales market in Russia by 20% following attacks on Wildberries and Ozon warehouses. According to the analytics firm’s estimates, the industry’s total losses could reach 400 million orders and 400 billion rubles in revenue.

Meanwhile, Wildberries sellers reported a 20 billion ruble delay in payments.

Ukrainian drones simultaneously attacked a Lukoil oil refinery and a Wildberries warehouse in Russia.

As a reminder, the Orsk oil refinery in the Orenburg region of Russia completely halted operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones.
