Three people were killed and more than 20 were wounded as a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions
Over the past day, Russian troops launched attacks on the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, using artillery, attack drones, and aircraft. Three people were killed in the attacks, and more than 20 others were wounded.
In the Kherson region, Kherson and more than 30 other settlements came under enemy fire. According to regional authorities, one person was killed and 19 others were wounded.
Russian troops attacked critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. Two high-rise buildings, 22 private homes, a post office, a cell tower, a store, outbuildings, and vehicles were damaged.
According to the investigation, at approximately 6:15 p.m. on July 15, a Russian FPV drone struck an intersection in Kherson. A 53-year-old man was killed in the attack.
A 42-year-old resident of Kherson, who was injured during a drone attack the day before, also sought medical attention. In addition, overnight, a Russian drone attacked the village of Krasnopilskoye in the Borozenske community, where a 67-year-old woman was injured.
In the Mykolaiv region, Russian forces attacked the area with Shahed and “Gerbera” strike drones, as well as, reportedly, a “Lancet”-type drone.
In the Mykolaiv district, a 61-year-old man was killed as a result of a strike on port infrastructure, and two civilian vessels were also damaged.
Another strike hit an agricultural enterprise in the Novobuzka community. A 67-year-old man was killed, and a 65-year-old victim is in the hospital in serious but stable condition. Storage facilities and vehicles at the enterprise were damaged.
In addition, in the evening, a Russian drone—presumably of the “Lancet” type—attacked the Ochakiv community. The strike damaged a gas station building; there were no casualties.
This was reported by the heads of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Kim.
As a reminder, two people were killed and five others were wounded as a result of a nighttime ballistic strike by Russian forces on Kyiv. Among the victims was a 16-year-old boy who suffered a traumatic amputation of his arm. His father was killed in the attack.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military has eliminated 1,340 Russian occupiers. The Defense Forces also destroyed three tanks, 66 artillery systems, 1,801 tactical-level drones, and 420 enemy vehicles.
Over the past day, 279 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian troops launched one missile strike using four missiles, carried out 88 airstrikes, dropping 295 guided bombs, deployed 9,922 kamikaze drones, and carried out 3,148 shelling attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas, including 42 using multiple launch rocket systems.
