A drone struck the cab of a Russian truck—the moment was caught on video

A Ukrainian FPV drone struck the cab of a Russian truck traveling on a road in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The moment of impact was captured by a dashcam in a vehicle traveling behind it, and just before the strike, the recording captures the reactions of the people inside the car.

A video of a Ukrainian drone striking Russian military logistics in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine has been released online. The footage was published by journalist Yuriy Butusov. The video shows a road with a Russian truck traveling along it. Another vehicle is driving behind it, from which the footage was recorded. It was this vehicle’s dashcam that captured the moment of the attack.

A Ukrainian FPV drone approaches the truck at high speed. The drone heads straight for the cab and strikes the front of the vehicle. Just before the impact, a voice can be heard on the video as someone notices the drone: “Oh, it’s flying, it’s flying, Vanya!” A moment later, the drone crashes into the truck, followed by a powerful explosion. The impact strikes the cab directly, causing significant damage.

The footage shows that the drone approached its target with great precision. It did not strike the truck bed or the road surface, but instead deliberately hit the front of the truck. However, based on the video alone, it is impossible to independently determine the exact location of the incident, the type of truck, its cargo, or the final consequences of the strike for the people inside. There is also no independent confirmation of the number of possible casualties among Russian military personnel.

The authors of the report describe the struck vehicle as part of Russian military logistics. The exact location within the occupied territory is not specified in the published materials. The video demonstrates just how vulnerable Russian military vehicles remain to FPV drones, even while traveling on roads. The drone was able to catch up to the truck and strike it while it was in motion.

The moment of the attack was captured on camera by a car driving behind it. Thanks to this, the recording shows the entire sequence of events—from the drone’s appearance to the explosion and damage to the truck.

On September 10, in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district, a drone crashed in an open area in the woods near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no injuries.

In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the aftermath of the incident.
