Drones attacked Yaroslavl and Smolensk, explosions were heard, and fires broke out
Unknown drones carried out attacks on Yaroslavl and Smolensk during the night of December 12, causing panic among local residents.
According to local community reports, a series of 5–7 explosions occurred in Yaroslavl, accompanied by smoke and an unfamiliar humming sound.
Attacks on these facilities have been continuing for the second day. In Smolensk, the air-raid alert, declared the previous evening, remained in effect.
These drones may have been linked to previous strikes by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, including the attack on the Syzran oil refinery that took place earlier this month.
Such situations indicate a persistent threat to Russian energy facilities, as well as the fact that Ukrainian forces continue to carry out successful operations deep in the enemy’s rear.
