As of September 22, 2026, the Ukrainian military had killed 1,230 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the figures on Russian troop losses.
As of September 22, Russia had lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,520,880 (+1,230) individuals;
- tanks – 12,364 (+3);
- armored fighting vehicles – 25,374 (+9);
- artillery systems – 50,184 (+42);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 2,151 (+2) units;
- air defense systems – 1,663 (+1);
- aircraft – 442 (+0);
- helicopters – 356 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,720 (+8) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 529,134 (+1,441) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,111 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 152,173 (+312) units;
- special equipment – 4,733 (+4) units
