Video: The General Staff announced a strike on a Russian oil refinery 1,500 km from Ukraine
On the night of August 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the “Orsknefteorgsintez” oil refinery in Russia’s Orenburg Region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the facility, which is located approximately 1,500 kilometers from Ukrainian territory.
A fire was reported on the plant’s premises following the strike. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
“Orsknefteorgsintez” is one of the largest oil refineries in the Orenburg region and a key facility in Russia’s fuel and energy sector. The plant has a capacity of approximately 6 million metric tons of crude oil per year.
The plant produces automotive gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, and other petroleum products. Orsk is located approximately 1,500 km from Ukraine.

In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
