The Main Intelligence Directorate has disclosed information about Russian companies that manufacture missiles for the Pantsir system

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has released information on 23 Russian enterprises involved in the production of 95Ya6 guided missiles for the “Pantsir” anti-aircraft missile and gun systems.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Shipunov Instrument Engineering Design Bureau plays a key role in the production of the 95Ya6 missiles. This enterprise is the primary developer and manufacturer of these missiles.

The enterprise is also known for its involvement in the development of weapons for the “Orion” unmanned aerial vehicle systems, “Krasnopol” guided projectiles, and fighter jet cannons.

At the same time, the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that about one-third of the enterprises on the published list are not subject to sanctions from any of the countries in the sanctions coalition.

Among the Russian companies involved in the production of 95Ya6 missiles, intelligence identifies the following:

• The “Komponent” Plant—which manufactures contactless target sensors for 95Ya6 missiles;
• The Sergo Ordzhonikidze Saratov Electrical Instrument-Making Plant—which manufactures and supplies emitter and power supply units for these missiles;
• The Tambov “Elektropribor” Plant—a manufacturer of guidance systems for the 95Ya6.

“Pantsir” – a family of Russian short-range self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun systems designed for the air defense of critical areas and specific military and industrial facilities.

Russia also uses these systems to strengthen its air defense capabilities at low and extremely low altitudes, as well as to protect against massive air attacks.

Since 2023, the Russians have been installing “Pantsir” systems on the roofs of buildings in Moscow.

This year, a new variant of the system—the “Pantsir-SMD-E”—was also spotted in the Russian capital. Unlike previous versions, this variant uses small TKB-1055 “Gvozd” missiles instead of automatic cannons.

As a reminder, on August 31 and during the night of September 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers. 

On the night of August 26, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities at the “Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez” LLC oil refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.

Ukrainian strikes since July have put seven of Wildberries’ ten largest logistics centers in Russia out of commission, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. In particular, following the attack on August 16, the company’s large facilities in Domodedovo and the “Koledino” industrial park ceased operations; the latter covered an area of approximately 250,000 square meters.

On the night of August 26, drones again attacked the Wildberries logistics center in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, Russia, after which a massive fire broke out at the facility. According to Russian authorities, the fire covered at least 40,000 square meters, and one employee was injured.

Ukrainian drones simultaneously attacked a Lukoil oil refinery and a Wildberries warehouse in Russia.

As a reminder, the Orsk Oil Refinery in the Orenburg Region of the Russian Federation completely halted operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones.
