Kremlin says US presented ideas for ending Russia’s war against Ukraine

In Moscow on September 5, the Kremlin — the governing body of Russia, the aggressor state — said that Vladimir Putin held talks with envoys of US President Donald Trump on ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to a Kremlin representative, the US side proposed several ideas regarding possible ways to reach a settlement.

Ushakov’s statement

Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov called the conversation “extremely frank.” He also said that the US representatives had carefully prepared for their trip to Moscow.

According to Ushakov, the US envoys expressed interest in ending hostilities as soon as possible and outlined proposals for a possible settlement. The Kremlin did not disclose details of these ideas in the statement cited.
