Widespread power outages are being reported in occupied Crimea
In occupied Crimea, a widespread power outage was reported following a drone attack on the night of August 20. According to local residents, power went out in Kerch, Feodosia, Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Saki.
Before the power outage, residents in Feodosia reported hearing three drones flying overhead, sporadic gunfire from mobile fire teams, and three explosions near the “Kafa” power substation. In addition, a jet-powered UAV was spotted over the Leninsky District heading toward Kerch.
Explosions were also heard in Saki, the Saki District, and Yevpatoria, and fire teams were active there; in the village of Beregovoye in the Bakhchysarai District, residents reported a drone approaching and a bright flash.

As a reminder, on the night of August 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military facilities belonging to Russian forces in the temporarily occupied territories.
On the night of August 17, the Ukrainian military struck targets associated with the storage, preparation, and launch of attack drones, as well as their control systems in Crimea and the Kherson region.
