In fighting near Pokrovsk, Ukraine’s Defence Forces reportedly eliminated Serhii Petrov — a former professional footballer who once played for several well-known Ukrainian clubs but later joined Russian occupying forces.

His highest sporting achievement was a call-up to the Ukraine national under-21 football team in 2016, for which he played in a match against the Belarus national team.
Earlier reports stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated a Russian serial killer on the battlefield, who was later buried with honours in Russia. It was also reported that Nigerian mercenaries recruited by the Russian Federation were eliminated at the front.
