One person was killed in the Odesa region as a result of a Russian attack; trucks carrying food were set ablaze
In the Odesa region, one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of an enemy strike. The attack also caused eight trucks carrying food to catch fire.
According to the State Emergency Service, after the strike, the fire engulfed eight trucks carrying food, as well as dry grass nearby.
“Eight trucks carrying food, as well as dry grass nearby, caught fire! Firefighters quickly extinguished the fires,” the agency emphasized.
The State Emergency Service deployed 14 rescue workers and three firefighting vehicles to address the aftermath of the attack.
Assistance was also provided by members of the local “Bagate” fire brigade—two people and one fire truck.

On the afternoon of August 28, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with seven “Banderole” drones and 96 strike drones. Most of the drones were jet-powered, and the enemy directed a significant portion of them toward Kyiv.
Following the attack on August 28, Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized most of the aerial targets launched by Russia; however, at the time of the evening report, some drones were still in Ukrainian airspace. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the attack.
Earlier, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on a facility in Kryvyi Rih.
As a reminder, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles.
Prior to that, Russia had attacked warehouses and energy infrastructure in the Odesa region.
