In the Sumy region, 13 people were injured in the past 24 hours as a result of Russian attacks
From the morning of September 10 to the morning of September 11, Russian troops attacked populated areas in the Sumy region 45 times. Thirteen people were injured in the attacks, including children.
In addition, one of the victims of the Russian strike on a train in the Sumy district, which occurred on September 8, died in the hospital.
The invaders used mortars, artillery, guided aerial bombs, and drones, including FPV-type drones.
A total of 21 settlements in the Sumy, Bilopil, Yunakiv, Krasnopil, Myropil, Richkiv, Mykolaiv Rural, Esman, Shostka, Khutir-Mykhailivska, Seredino-Buda, Zno-Novgorod, Novoslobodska, Popivska, and Velykopysarivska communities. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
In the Sumy community, strikes by the Russian army damaged a shopping center and stores, apartment buildings and private homes, civilian infrastructure facilities, non-residential premises, and a car. As a result of guided air strikes, 12 civilians sustained injuries, four of whom were children aged 8, 14, and 17. A 44-year-old woman was injured when an enemy drone struck.
In the Zno-Novgorod and Mykolaiv rural communities, private homes were damaged as a result of Russian attacks.
The region also recorded the consequences of earlier enemy strikes: destruction and damage to private homes in the Shostka, Seredyna-Bud, and Esman communities, as well as destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure in the Shostka and Seredyna-Bud communities.
A 41-year-old man sought medical attention after being wounded on September 9 when a Russian drone struck the Hlukhiv community, as well as a 35-year-old man who was injured on September 8 due to an attack by an enemy UAV in the Sumy community.
Over the past 24 hours, the air raid alert in the region lasted 16 hours and 48 minutes.

Earlier, an oil refinery caught fire in Volgograd following an attack.
As of the morning of September 10, 2026, the Russian army’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion amount to approximately 1,502,390 soldiers. In the past 24 hours alone, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost another 1,520 servicemen.
The day before, 221 combat engagements were recorded along the front lines. The enemy carried out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Defense Forces repelled 21 assaults, and Russian troops lost more than 60 occupiers.
