The occupiers launched a massive drone attack on the Chernihiv region, wounding eight people
On the night of June 1, Russian occupation forces launched a large-scale drone attack on the Chernihiv region, injuring eight civilians, including three children.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, businesses, and energy facilities was recorded.
The Snovsk community suffered the most damage during the nighttime raid. A Russian “Geran” drone struck a local community center in one of the villages, causing a fire and injuring people.
Six civilians sustained injuries of varying severity: three women aged 57, 58, and 61, as well as three teenagers—two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy.
Four of the victims were hospitalized, while the rest are receiving outpatient treatment. In another settlement within the same community, a private residential house caught fire after being struck by an enemy UAV.
At the same time, the Ripky community came under enemy attack, where a drone strike was recorded in a private yard. The explosion set a garage and a passenger car on fire, and a 74-year-old woman was injured.
Another enemy drone struck a parking lot, completely destroying the vehicles there.
A local industrial enterprise and a farm also sustained damage, where trucks were completely burned to the ground as a result of a massive fire.
In the Horodnya community, a Russian “Gerbera”-type drone strike damaged trucks and the infrastructure of a gas station.
In Semenivka, an enemy FPV drone attacked a residential area, damaging the facade and shattering windows in a five-story apartment building.
Russian troops also attacked the regional capital, the city of Chernihiv, overnight. A fire broke out at the site of one of the strikes in the city; however, according to preliminary data from law enforcement, there were no casualties.

Over the course of the day, Russian troops carried out 911 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones, damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
