Occupiers begin using new "Upyr-18" drones on the front

During combat operations in Ukraine, Russian forces have started deploying new strike drones called “Upyr-18.” These UAVs can be used not only for attacks but also for logistics purposes.

According to Russian propaganda outlets, the drones are being deployed on the Kupiansk and Kramatorsk directions. They can carry up to 10 kg of munitions and operate over distances of several dozen kilometers.

In addition to strikes, the drones can deliver supplies to Russian units at the front line. The UAV was designed by engineers in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, and the Ural Drone Factory has announced plans to increase production of these drones.

The Upyr-18 belongs to the FPV drone class and can carry RKG-3M grenades, RPG-7 rounds, and improvised high-explosive fragmentation bombs. Russian media report that the occupiers plan to use these drones to strike Ukrainian positions and isolate combat zones.

Russian FPV drones attacked Sloviansk, injuring two teenage girls.

Eight people were injured in attacks on front-line regions. Russian forces also targeted volunteers and medics in the Kharkiv region, resulting in casualties.
