The occupiers have advanced along a key front — DeepState
Russian troops have made further advances in the Kupiansk sector of Kharkiv Oblast. These changes were noted by DeepState analysts on an updated map of combat operations.
According to the analysts, the occupying forces have advanced near the village of Pishchane in the Kupiansk district. The DeepState map shows approximately 4.99 square kilometers of captured territory, and the area of the incursion has increased by about 15.23 square kilometers.
At the same time, according to operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops carried out one attack in the Kupiansk direction over the past 24 hours—toward Novoplatonivka.
According to ISW assessments, the Oskil River remains the primary objective of Russian forces in this sector. The Russians are seeking to create conditions for crossing the river, which would potentially allow them to advance further west toward the Kharkiv region and the northern part of the Donetsk region.
At the same time, American analysts consider claims by Russian military bloggers about a possible encirclement of Ukrainian units between Vovchansk and Velykyi Burluk to be extremely unlikely.

In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 troops and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
